Finance New Orleans & Partners Break Ground on $11.7M Affordable Housing Development in Lower Ninth Ward

Finance New Orleans, in collaboration with The City of New Orleans and esteemed partners, has embarked on an incredible journey towards revitalization. On Wednesday, March 27, we broke ground on an $11.7M affordable housing development in the lower ninth ward.

This visionary project encompasses a resilient and sustainable housing development comprising 39 units, spread across 22 lots. What sets it apart? It’s proudly Energy Star & FORTIFIED Gold certified, symbolizing our commitment to both environmental sustainability and community resilience.

But that’s not all – we’re proud to announce that this development offers 100 percent affordable living for lower-income families, ensuring that everyone has access to safe and secure housing. From sustainability to affordability, this project represents a beacon of hope and progress for New Orleans.
